Wow, its been forever since Ive posted about anything scrappy, but just recently my mama got a job at the LSS in Waxahachie, which has sent me into a scraping frenzy! I've gotten a ton done and I feel so accomplished, plus Ive come to realize its a great way to help rid of any stress I have, which has been a decent amount with the recent passing of my nana; that still has me in awe, even after 6 months, my husband being deployed to Iraq, and me being pregnant with our first born. Not to mention the most recent, my husband's uncle passing away a few nights ago. Un fortunately, this year has not been nice to ANYONE, but as my daddy said the other night, we have something great to look forward to, and he should be arriving within the next few weeks... Of course that would be baby boy Tyler Dean! Oh... and my hubby is coming home for RnR within the next week, so I am one happy camper!

Like I said I have a ton of crafty stuff done, but as always I lack the pictures, so I will get that taken care of tomorrow and get the blog more updated.

Tonight I am posting a crafty project I did for my husband. I saw the quote "Home is Where His Boots Are" and fell in love with it, then walking through the LSS I saw the new Bo Bunny Welcome Home Collection and BAM! I had to do this project, it just came to me so fast and I couldnt pass it up.

Off to work on some more of the album I am doing for my hubby and I, more pics to come tomorrow or Sunday!

My Angel

I'm just getting around to sharing this with anyone outside of my family. I lost on my nana March 31st, 10 days after my husband deployed. I know that I am still in the stage of not believing it, even after 3 months, so I havent shed too many tears other than the first couple weeks. I saw the 7 Gypsies wall hang up thingy (lol I cant remember what it is actually called) at the local scrappy store in Waxahachie and just had to have it. After being inspired by the owners creation, she did hers on her mom that she lost a few years ago. I made it and gave it to my papa on the night of his and Nana's Anniversary, it would have been 43 years.

So here is my creation, pictures aren't the best but I hope you enjoy. :)

Inside the Binder hinges I put a story that I wrote for my English class, the topic was death, and this was the week after she had passed away so it was a little tough for me, but I did it. Ill post the story below:

The day I died my family surrounded me in that ice cold hospital room, my death struck everyone as a surprise, but I just could not deal with all of the pain anymore. When I saw that bright white light start approaching my lifeless body I knew it was time to go, it saddened me as I watched my family; I saw the tears rolling slowly down my husbands wrinkled face, i laughed I realized after 42 years I had been the one to cause most of those soft deep wrinkles, the rage in my pregnant granddaughters ocean blue eyes grew as she realized the doctor had lied to her, he told her that she would be able to let me hear my great grandchilds heart beat, but what Caitlin didn't realize was that I was already playing and singing to her little baby, and worst of all was my daughters face as she realized she would never have a mother again, she promised me she was coming back home to live with me and help me get through all of this pain and the doctor appointments that I had been having, but God wouldn't let me stay in my frail little body anymore, he knew I was too tired and the pain was only making me worse; now it was time to go up to Heaven and finally leave this Earth.

My soul flew up through the bright blue sky, passing a few birds along the way and landed with a light thud among a soft marshmellowy white cloud, before me I saw something that I had thought about often, but never in my life would I have imagined it to be this beautiful; the gates of Heaven were upon me, the oversized golden gate shimmered like a kings crown as the sun shined upon it. I was in awe as I slowly started walking towards the gates of my new home, this experience was much different than just moving into a new neighborhood, the man at the gate told me that God had been expecting me, but I was told to look around before I go and meet him.

As I walked past those lovely golden gates the smell of carnations filled my nose with an overwhelming job, these were my favorite flowers, as I followed the smell I started seeing the bright red, pink, and yellow flowers pop up along the newly paved brick red path I had already been walking on, it led me to a cottage, the most beautiful cottage I had ever seen. The cottage looked old, but had been newly pained white with green trim, it looked like a replica of our house on Margaret Lane, but was more up to date, the onnly difference was the front yard had been filled with the greenest blades of grass, a wooden fence with carnations weaved in and out of every brand new plank of wood, and a big white and green sign that had Barbara G. Davis engraved on it with my enterance date to Heaven, March 31st 2011. The best part of my new house was seeing my great grand daughter run out of the house yelling, "Nana, you're finally home, I've been waiting on you! We only have a few more months to spend together and I thought you were going to make me wait until September to meet you!"

I wish there was some way to communicate with my family just so I could tell them how much I really do miss them and Heaven is wonderful with its amazing beauty, but I cant wait for them to join me up here. I guess I will just have to wait patiently and be rejoined by my ever loving family soon for the rest of time.

Well first off, Happy 4th of July, its my first somewhat major holiday without my hubby here, so its been a hard weekend for me. Hope everyone had a great and safe weekend. I sat around the house for the past 3 days with my grandpa just napping our lives away. Tonight I decided alright its time to do something :)

So I made a card for the hubby and knocked out a ton of challenges with it.

Its not my favorite card, but I think its kinda cute. :)

Today consisted of Denny's for breakfast, grocery shopping, an attempt to find maternity clothes with my papa, that was a BIG failure, and then nap time. Then company showed up right as i was cooking dinner, so spent some time in the HOT HOT HOT sun and caught up with them, havent seen them since nana passed away in March, and hadn't seen Peaches since.. oh man we were both so tiny last time we saw each other, now she has a 1 y/o and i have a bun in the oven. Time Flies :)

Tomorrow: Biscuits and gravy - traditional sunday breakfast.. prolly a nap, maybe talk to my hubby if i get lucky and yea, a lazy day, gonna stay off my feet to try to keep this swelling down.

Monday - Pool party/BBQ with company. No fireworks for me, too dry out here.. but I know the stupids will do it anyways sigh!

I love love love this card! While I was on skype with my hubby yesterday he informed me that he likes my cards especially when they are for him lol! I havent made him a card in quite some time so today I decided why not. Gonna send it off in his goodie box next week with a bunch of other stuff.

Anyways, I used a pretty awesome sketch from Mojo Monday, go check it out!

Now with that done, I think it is bed time! I am worn out from playing vet. with my dog, she stepped on something and had gushing blood from her foot, poor thing is still limping (And im petrified of blood, not good for me.) Baby kicked alot today, i really think he is starting to realize his daddy's voice, every time I get off skype with Jeff, lil Tyler starts
kicking up a storm, I think that is his way of telling daddy to come home. :) 11 weeks til I get to be in my hubby's arms, and around 12 before baby is due, according to the EOD. :)

This song is a real tear jerker, I absoultely love his talent and voice though. Really hit home with me, 3 months til RnR and 9 til he back home for good, I cant wait.

Today Im finally getting into the dr so I can get a referral for my new OBGYN, I am so ready to start getting check ups on baby Tyler again, havent had one since May 16th. Hopefully get something crafty accomplished today and talk to my hubby but we will see what today has in store for me. :)

I absolutely love this card! I am in the scrappy mood tonight, but Im getting tired from being up way too early.. hoping to get a couple more things done before I call it a night, we shall see what happens :)

Anyways, I started off with a whole different idea for this card.. and then wham! I went a whole different direction with it. I decided to use this card for a challenge over at Our Creative Corner, the challenge this week is Your Style.. and I figured well I usually end up changing my cards around when I try to "free play", so that is totally my style, not to mention my love for pearls and these colors just make me happy, so I totally say this card is My Style.

I found this through a friend and fell in love with the idea. My husband is overseas at the moment and I'm really getting to see how many soldiers go without, so many soldiers get nothing the whole time they are over there, I send a ton of goodies in my boxes, but Im sure getting something that is directly sent to them lightens their day that much more. As soon as I finish up this 30 Day challenge, I will start making Christmas cards to send over to the troops, Ive been meaning to do the Christmas cards for 3 years now, maybe Ill finally get off my butt and get them done before baby comes and consumes my crafty time :)

What a crazy year!!!

So, its been forever since Ive posted... and I have alot of reasons as to why.

Went to Redding, California the week before Christmas for Jeffs,friends wedding, it was wonderful and I loved meeting them, have became really close with Katherine, shes kinda like a big lil sis to me :)

Next was Christmas with my family, while Jeff spent it with his family, it was nice, just the 4 of us, really missed the rest of the family and finally decided its not about the gifts you get but about the family time :)

Then came New Years, we went to mom and dad's friends house and spent it with them, had a lil dinner party kind of deal, did a few fireworks, but it was freezing! Had a wonderful night bringing in the New Year with Jeff, it was my first New Years Kiss too :)

The Next day, Jeff asked me to marry him!!! Of course I said yes, hes the apple of my eye! :)We set the date for August 4th, 2012 after he got back from deployment

Feb 9th, I turned 19 :) Yay me!

Feb 22nd... We found out we were pregnant - nervous and scared at first, but ready to become parents now.

March 5th, We said "I Do", yep the wedding was pushed forward, but I dont regret it one bit.

March 21st - Jeff Deployed to Iraq for a year, its still hard on me, but most days are easier than they were, just learning to keep myself busy.

March 31st - My nana passed away, was one of the worst days of my life, im slowly getting over it, but I know it will never be the same, I will never get to hear her sweet voice say "I love you plus infinity and beyond" again, but I still tell her every night.

April went by pretty quickly, nothing really interesting here. Other than the crazy stress of school and passing, especially since its my Senior year.

May 5th was my last day of school, got all my fees paid on the 6th and confirmed passing all of my finals.

Upcoming Events:

May 12th - Getting my cap and gown, and having my monthly baby appointment.

May 14th - Mama, Papa and Julie (my second mama) will arrive here in NM.

May15th - Grandparents and Uncle Cory will arrive.

May 16th, Graduation Rehearsal and ULTRASOUND!!!!!! 20 Week Ultrasound, also my first, I get to see what baby is! Boy or Girl?!

May 17th - I graduate!! :) Woohoo FInally done

May 18th Back to Texas

May 21st -Prom with my Best Friend :)

June 13th Cali with Katherine

And then it all goes from there. Baby's EDD is Sept 28th, and hoping Jeff can get leave to come back for the birth :)

Ill get pictures up later, but for now Lunch time :)

So Ive been a little busy with school and work so I havent done much crafting! But I got a few things done that Ihavent shared yet.. Wanna see???

This is a LO I did for my nana and mom, they are my angels and mean the world to me and I have never done a LO with the both of them on it so I figured I have this pretty paper and a new pic so why not!!

Ooops I forgot your Birthday!!! - This one was for a challenge, but I never got around to posting it oh well hehe :)

Jeff's nephew turns 1 this weekend,unfortunately I gotta work so Im going to miss the bday party which sucks, but like my parents told me the other day "Youre gonna get to go to alot of stuff throughout your life, and youre gonna also miss alot of stuff" so Im gonna take it as just missing this, and watching him grow in the future :) But this is his B-Day card :)

And this one was for another all white no patterned paper challenge, but I forgot about it as well hehe :)

B-A-L-L-O-O-N F-I-E-S-T-A! Thats right! Balloon fiesta this week!!! So excited about it, love walking to school while the hot air balloons are up there just a floating away. Its so amazing! If you've never seen it before, you have to see it aleast once in your life time, plus the awesome fire works show at night totally makes it that much better, I like the whole KABOOOOM feeling you get when your sitting there watching them light the sky :) As for the weather here in NM, its getting cooler and im so excited about that! The mornings are getting a lil chilly but the days are still hot and shorts weather for me :) I so cant wait for the snow, I know I'll be complaining about how cold it is though, but still hehe!!!

SCHOOL RULES! Woot! Okay not really, but heck its my SENIOR year baby! Class of 2011!! Its not too bad actually, pretty easy classes, Office Aide, Sewing and Fashion II, Mythology and Folklore, Government, and New Mexico History. Im certain of having A's in 4 outta the 5 classes, Not sure about NM Hist as the teach hasnt shown us our grades, but its all good :) Ordering Caps and Gowns this Weds, the meeting for them is tomorrow :)

WORK! Getting kinda boring, just cause we're not busy anymore, but hopefully that picks up with Chrismas coming up, I unno maybe! Im thinking about getting a Second job for more money and savings ya know! Back up to getting some more hours, the whole 10-11 a week sucked, but 17-19 are a little better atleast im making more than 100 a week now :P

BOYFRIEND <3 hehe We're doing good good, had our little fights like every couple, had a good cry or two, but I love him and we're good! Jeff came along to Texas with us Labor Day weekend and got to meet all of my family, I hope they loved him as much as he loved them hehe :) He's coming up this weekend so I get to see him for the first time in 2 weeks.. I know huh forever! :p I better get used to that with him being in the Army and all :)

fam(ILY) - SIGH! My nana's been in and out of the hospital, its like they're playing with a yo-yo and shes the little yo part and they're the string, they just keep bring her back and forth. She just had a Triple By-Pass, the broke her ribs and opened her chest for surgery, I hope she is better, Ive been praying my butt off! Thankfully my papa is staying strong through all of this and he is keeping us informed of whats going on, he said shes getting to be a smart butt again so she must be feeling a little better :) As for the Fam at home, We're all good as far as I know, other than the stress and worry of nana, but I feel we're all closer than we've been in a while, maybe thats just me though :)

So I decided to redo my blog since my last design was deleted :( But I like this one sooo much better!!! Thank you mama for helping me with it as well since I can be a dummy sometimes :p But I am hoping to get back into scrapping more and yea, so :) We'll see, but Ive got a new job at Staples, working 8 hour days...intense for me hehe :P but Senior year is starting in 16 days oh my golly!!! hehe :p Gonna go shopping with mama this weekend since Jeff is gonna go visit his family, so itll be a good mamadaughter weekend that is needed :) Anyways, I thnk imma hop to scrapping now, do a card or something along those lines :)

This was alot of fun to make! I havent scrapped in a few weeks, and since I have nothing better to do I decided to start it again by making a card, I am in LOVE with this card! hehe I dunno why but I really like it :)

So I made this card for Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog and the theme of it was Dazzle Us...use glitter... I think I got enough glitter hehe :) This was a really fun challenge for me, and didnt take too long to make :) Well here are the pics! Other News:

I felt like CRAP today but went to school anyways, stubborn me, got mom to pick me up in m 2nd class cause I felt bad, but also had to go to the doctor to get the results from my blood work..... and we were hoping we'd find something, but the doctor told me I had one of the best hearts he has seen in a while, yay... but also ugh that sucks! I have to have an MRI to see whats wrong with me, hoping they find something, I just wanna know whats wrong with me! I've been having massive headaches and dizzy spells :(

I feel better now, the doctor still knows nothing from the blood work, going in for an MRI sometime soon I hope -Found out I only have to work Thursday this week, which sucks, but is also cool cause I have Wednesday off which I will spend making cards and such with mom, and then we have a craft show Saturday!!! Wooohoo!

Well, mom and I are going to a craft show sometime this month and have alot of cards that we can sell... but we are also making sets of cards to see if they will sell! I've only gotten 2 sets done, one yesterday and one today, they are super simple, but I think they are pretty cute, lemme know whatcha think!!

Guilty Pleasure

...... Ok I am in love with this song, I honestly am not sure why, but I heard it a while back and have been listening to it since!! It's called "Guilty Pleasure" by Cobra Starship - I figured I'd add a video on here!!!!

Well I plan on getting some scrapping done this weekend, doing nada for Halloween.... a bit upset though, I went into orientation yesterday at my job (wooohoo) and well... the manager that told me to be there had the day off. I was kinda upset 'cause it was important to me and I knew I didn't have the wrong date... I dunno... well the other manager told me that she is sorry for wasting my time and that orientation will be next Tuesday, so I hope it turns out..... :)

Crafty Sunday!

Well, so far I've only gotten 1 card done while scrapping with Mom today, but I have a ton of challenges I plan on getting done tonight after we watch a movie and eat some nachos, yum!

I spent FOREVER on this card but am really liking it!! I've decided this stamps new name is " The Girl Who Will Hold Anything" stamp due to the fact that we stick about everything in her hand, from the ladybug she comes with, to a pumpkin, and then presents so far, but mom and I have a ton more things to "stick" in her hand!!!

I was able to knock out three challenges with this card, woohoo!!

2 Red Bananas - Use the color red, have 3 buttons, and have a square.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - A sketch

Pile it On - Use the colors Blue, Green, and Yellow and combine with another challenge.

Lots of Stuff!

Well, its been a few weeks since I've posted and I've gotten a bit done!

A few weeks ago the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta started lasted a week... or maybe two, I honestly can't remember... getting old I guess haha!... anyways it was pretty awesome getting to see hot air balloons in the air every morning on the way to school! We also spent a Saturday morning watching them... they had some really cool ones... Darth Vader (by far the best although I didnt get to see it :(.... oh well), a giant lady bug sitting on a flower, a cow, penguin, bees, smokey the bear... and I could go on and on, but I won't!

Schools been ok... except the school has lost my transcript... that just makes me so happy... not! I keep telling my parents they better not make me start over again LOL! We had Wednesday and Thursday off this past week for Advisory meetings with our parents, I've got A's and B's except for one class... Math... and yea we didnt have a teacher for the first oh 6 weeks I'd say so we pretty much taught ourselves and I am not a good self teacher, but yea I have a C in there... I'll get it up though. Learned about a scholarship called the Lottery Scholarship... you can pretty much go to college for free if you have atleast a 2.5..... my 4.0 works good... and you have to obtain a 3.0 throughout all 4 years of college... so sounds pretty easy to me!!

Crafty stuff... hmmm... well I have been scrapping more... I enjoy it, I've gotten a few layouts done and a few cards, I'm spending some more time on them instead of just throwing them together....

What an Exciting Weekend!!!!

Hey everyone!!

Wow what an exciting Labor Day weekend it was for me!! Well, my grandparents got here Thursday afternoon, they were here waiting for us when we got off of school. Friday was kind of a relax day for them, but Saturday we all went to Globe, Arizona to see my uncle, Glen or Butch as my mom calls him, that all of us haven't seen in about 13 years or so and my dad and brother have never met him, we also hadn't met his wife Diana before that, they arlso have 2 dogs, Pepper and Max.. they are both so cute and were finally about to somewhat get along with Daisy on Sunday a few hours before we left, next time we hope they remember that they are friends!!! I don't remember much about my childhood and he was a memory that I don't remember at all unfortuantly..... but it was amazing to get to know him again and meet his wonderful wife!!! We arrived around noon Arizona time (holy cow I get so easily confused with time, but I got it down!) and spent the night there and ended up leaving around noonish Sunday due to a Caity moment causing us to leave later.... you dont wanna know :).... Diana is an amazing cook... she went all out and cooked us T-bones, a pot of beans, salad and some homemade salsa and it was all so tasty!!!

Of course we have a ton of pictures because mom and I both love to take them, the scenery on the way there was amazingly beautiful, except for an area called Salt Lake Canyon, oh boy that was scary, it was very pretty but super dangerous, my uncle said a semi goes off the edge of it atleast once a month!

Ok here's some pictures of the scenery, some is on the way there and others are on the way back!!

So we got home around 4 or 5 yesterday and kinda relaxed, had left overs for dinner and then all of us headed to bed.... Today we started all over again! Dad took us to Old Town, it was very nice, I loved looking at parts of it, but Nana got tired pretty quickly with the walking we did, so we headed on up the mountain. Dad took us to Sandia Crest which is like almost 11,000 feet in elevation...holy crap I am scared of heights... like bad, it was pretty looking off of the edge, but kinda creeped me out after a while, luckily I got some pictures before that happened!

I figured slideshows would be better instead of individual pictures... that'd take up way too much room! :P

Now onto something else.....

I found this blog while searching for something, at this point I can't remember what in the world I was looking for, but I stumbled up Erin's blog and read this

Well... nothing scrappy related tonight, but today in French I learned a new song, its a love song and I am literally in love with it! It's called Sous le Vent, Céline Dion and Garou sing it.... It is just so beautiful!! So now I've decided I really like her voice... and am planning on watching Titanic in the next day or so! :P

What is Love.....

Okay...dont ask... as soon as I thought of a title the song "What is love, baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me no more" popped into my head.... yea Im silly :P

Anyways, the real reason of this post is that I got something scrappy related done woohoo!!!! I love it too. As I said I was going to get some scrapping done this weekend, but as I was bringing my stuff out here to scrap mom let me know that she had a ton of school work to get done, so I scrapped in my room...What exactly did I scrap...well as I was cleaning some stuff I ran across one of the Bo Bunny My Word Board Books, and it was the LOVE one... hence the title..see there was a reason for it!!! Well anyways, I started this on Sunday, played with it for a while, worked on it yesterday after school, and finally finished it up today!! I am in LOVE with it!!!

Its Been A while

Hi there!!!

Well I decided to redo the blog, I love this background and I love the cherries!!! This weekend I am going to scrap, prolly going to start on Saturday, I need to find some challenges and what not!!

I'm liking Albuquerque and liking my new highschool now that I figured out where the heck I am going!! We are on a block schedule this year and it totally sucks!!! I have the normal classes; history, math, english, and science - but I do have 3 of the electives I really wanted!!!! Photography, French II, and Sewing and Fashion. So Far I am liking all of my teachers, they sure do have a mouth on them though!! This school seems more like a real highschool to me compared to all of the others I have been to! Our mascot this year is a cougar...much better than a porcupine in my opinion..... not in Texas any more haha :P

As far as scrapping I havent gotten a thing done, the crop we went to a few weeks ago didnt turn out so great.... but oh well I guess. I really do plan on getting more scrapping done I just need to do it! Take away my computer access and I'll be good!

Tomorrow is Friday...woohoo super excited for another weekend, I know I just got off of summer break, but oh boy this sucks, such a big change! :P

I love you Mom!!!

Who Am I?

Hi there!!

I did this LO last Saturday after a few things went on and it really made me think - Who Am I?!

The Journaling Reads:

Who Am I? That's a question I have a hard time answering even though I ask it rather often. I feel like I am just like any other ordinary 17 year old girl, there's nothing special about me, I have no special tricks, talents, hobbies, or anything else special about me. I sit and wonder why is it so hard to meet someone who has feelings for the real me and not just who they think I am? Why is it so hard to get people to like me for who I am? If I don't even know who I am how will anyone else? Being as I am almost 18, 7 months away, I want to find out who I actually am. I dont want to live my whole life not knowing this. I feel that I should be enjoying my life at this age, instead I constantly wonder about the little things in life that shouldnt be bothering me. I never know if I will get to know who I am or if i will just live until I die without knowing. I know I shouldnt have to worry about these types of things at this age, but they are constantly going around in my head. SO with that said I'm ending this with the same question I started it with - Who Am I? I look forward to the journey ahead and hope to figure this out soon! - Caitlin July 2009

U Is For United States - ABC Challenge Blog

I decided to scrap today with my mom, and just about gave her a heartattack I think! I woke up and felt like scrapping! I haven't gotten much accomplished, but I did get a card made for the ABC Challenge Blog and I think it turned out okay!

I plan on getting more after we eat dinner here in a bit, but I have a few things I go done the other day too.

I did this one for a challenge on another board, but I never got around to posting it, it was an All White Challenge.

It's Been a While.....

Well the move has finally ended and i am just getting around to making a post on here, i haven't done much for scrapping lately, but I did get a father's day card made about a week ago. I am planning to scrap sometime this weekend and am really looking forward to it!

I finally finished up my room and had alot of space left for a scrapping area! I took some pics to show everyone my new area, I'm happy about it, a whole room to ourselves would be great, but we'll live!!!

I realized I had a few LO's that I hadn't shown yet that I had done a while back.

I'm loving NM, the mountains are just beautiful and the weather is amazing!!! My dad took us up into the mountains for my mom's B-day, we had a blast just looking around at everything, my fave part though was honking the horn through the tunnels we went through!! LOL!!! Other than that not much has been going on, I will get some pics posted this weekend of what I get accomplished!!

A Few Layouts

Well I am enjoying my Spring Break scrapping with my mama and BFF Shelby!!! I've gotten 11 layouts done so far with the B-Day crop over at JS!!! I've got 1 more left for the B-Day crop and then I gotta find some more scrappy challenges to do!

Here's a few of the ones that I have gotten done in the past 2 days:

These last 2 are actually front and back, I was doing it for a challenge and it didn't meet the requirements so I scrapped on the back of it.

As I grow older I realize just how important my family is. Sometimes I may get upset or even angry with my mom, dad, or even my brother, but I stop and think about the situation and realize that it isn't worth it to fight, or argue with them. I try my best to spend as much time as I possibly can with them because I never know when that family time will quit and never come back. It may seem like I am strong and ready to grow up and live life on my own, but deep down inside I am very frightened and scared of what might happen. I look around me and see how wonderful my mom & dad and my nana & papa get along and lover each other, but I wonder if and when I will find someone that treats me with the respect like my dad and papa treat my mom and nana with the respect they have earner and deserve. I realize that I am 17 years old, but I feel as if I was still a little girl sitting on my mama's lap. I am closer to being an adult than a child, but sometimes it is hard to make important choices. I've made my fair share of not so good decisions, but my FAMILY is always there to lead me on the right path and to comfort me after I've come to my senses and realize I was int he wrong. I am very lucky to have such an amazing family that loves and cares about me. I am so thankful that my mom and I can be great friends no matter how many arguements we get into. My FAMILY is the most important thing to me, they lift me up when I have fallen down, they dry the tears from my eyes, and tell me everything will be okay. My mom and dad are my biggest heroes and I have no clue what I would do without them. I love and cherish every moment I spend with them and always make sure to never go to bed angry with them because you never know if you will have the chance to talk to them or apologize to them when you wake up the next day. Mom and Dad I love you with all of my heart and I wish that our friendships will continue to grow as we all get older. - Love Caitlin

Well tonight I knocked out another challenge for the JS b-day crop! This one was for Cristal's weekly challenge and we had to add a POP of green... I started out with a different LO, but there ended up being too much green, so I will use that for another challenge when I finish it up!!

This was so much fun to make!!!

Happy Birthday Just Scrappin'

Well let's see....

I've gotten a few things done for the March crop going on at Just Scrappin'... if you haven't joined yet, you should really go check it out!! We're having our big B-day Crop, Just Scrappin' turned 1 this month!!!

Alrighty I got this one done for Aymee's "Happy B-day Mr. President Challenge". We had to make it glamourous and girly!!!

This one was for Aymee's "Nothin' but my B-day suit" Challenge, the challenge was to pic a sketch listed and have WHITE SPACE!!

This one was for Mama Belle's (Carol) challenge "Send in the Clowns". We had to scrap a funny moment, I am always singing and shaking my butt and this time my mom caught me!!

This was for Michele's "Birthdays...nature's way to eat more cake", we had to scrap a picture of NATURE, no people in it!

And this one was for Kelly's "What's a birthday w/o a card..." challenge, based off of a sketch we had to make a card!

We still have quite a few challenges over there and the crop is going all month long, so don't forget to check it out, we love to see and meet new scrappers, so come chat with us and get your scrap on!!

Tonight we also had our 1 Hour LO contest, Cee hosted it for us, since Cristal couldn't be there with us!! It was fun, but I will admit that I do not do well when I am timed!! After the time was up there were so many beautiful LO's and all of the ladies did some wonderful work!!! Cee randomized the names, and I won!! I'm so excited about this, I don't even care about a prize.. I'm just so happy that I won!!!

I've decided that every few days (hopefully every day)I am going to start getting my work uploaded to the blog and every week I will look for one special scrapper's work that I have fallen in love with and will post it on my blog so that everyone can see how amazing it is!!

Lots of Stuff!

Well I've had a lot go on in the past few weeks. Let's see... I was out of school for a whole week due to strept throat(that totally sucked), I got better and then my dad caught something and had to stay home for a few days as well. My B-day was Feb
9th, I turned 17 years old, can't believe it!!!! Here's how the day started off:

I woke up took a shower etc etc, waited for Dyl to get up so he could say happy b-day. He wakes up goes to the bathroom, I sit there and wait for him to get out, he goes to his room and gets dressed, we wait for the bus... still no Happy B-day, bus gets there, when we get to the school I go with him to eat breakfast, still nothing.... We leave the cafeteria so I can go get my absent slip, his friend comes over to him and says " Oh yea it's her B-day".... Dylan then realizes that it is my B-day and tells me it was too early for him, he forgot!!!!

So to make up for it Dylan and his 2 friends (DJ and Brian) get the whole bus to sing to me....they found it to be very entertaining.... It was so funny... but I gotta say they are loud!!!

I got a really cute pair of jammies (the shorts feel like a blanket... it's so awesome), 3 shirts, a jacket, and a bair of shoes that I've been wanting... they are so cute, makeup and a DVD (P.S. I love you) from the parents, I got a really cute purse, a few tops, and money from my nana and papa and I also got money from 2 other sets of grandparents and a family friend...... Thank you guys!!!

Then Dyl got sick on Tuesday so school was boring that day, he was better by Wednesday and then we got Friday off from school as an inservice day... seemed stupid to me as we didn't get today, which is President's Day off like many other schools in the area did, I'd rather have gone to school on Friday... oh well. I finally got caught up on all of my work and I'm back on schedule now.

While my friend was up a few weeks ago I got her hooked on scrapping...woohoo!! We made 2 journals that are exactly alike, we had a blast!! I've got quite alot of pics to share as me and mama had a little scrappy night on Saturday while Dyl was at a friends and dad was at work!

I've Been Tagged!

How is everyone? I'm great, my BFF is over for the weekend, we've been having a blast! We've been singing(I'm not so great, but she is actually really good), talking about tails (we both think that having a tail would be awesome, don't ask why :)), being goofy and are planning to try some scrapping either tonight or tomorrow before her mama picks her up. We don't get the chance to see each other much as she lives in another town a few hours away, so when we get to see each other we really enjoy it! Happy New Year everyone!!! We had a crop at Just Scrappin' and it was so much fun!! My mom and I cleared off the kitchen table and got our scrap on!! We finally finished up all of the challenges last night and then headed to bed... well my mom did anyways, I stayed up and watched Twilight on my MP3 player!! The crop was so much fun and I look forward to doing more in 2009!

"Santa Paws" was for Aymee's Sketch challenge, that sketch was so much fun I ended up using it twice!

"Birds of a Feather Hoot Together" was for Sandy's Spelling challenge. She gave us the word "FRIENDS" and using products that spell out the word.

"The Elsie Calander" was for Carol's calander challenge.. this was a blast!!!

"Hoppy Birthday" was for my Mom's color challenge, you had to use orange and green together!

"Who I am" was for Kelly's challenge...but also worked for Michele's Recipe challenge!!

I still haven't come up with a name for this LO... If anyone has an idea just lemme know, it's an old pic of my grandma when she was younger. I did this LO for Zig's Out w/ the Old and In w/ the New Challenge, you had to use something that was really old from your stash and something that was newer, I chose to use the PP's as my NEW item and the Pic and Ribbons as my OLD item. This was my first time really distressing and omgosh it was so much fun!!!! You should've seen the table when I was finally finished!!

2009 Goals was for Kerri's New Years Resolution challenge, since I don't make resolutions I decided to make a goal this year. This journaling is very hard to see, but it reads :

My New Years goal for 2009 is to spend more time scrapping with my mom. Scrapping has mad our friendship grow more and sometimes I forget how fortunate it is to have a mother who shares the same interests as I do. So, for this year I'm going to spend less time on the computer and spend more time w/ her, whether it be scrappin' or just chatting!!

Well that was all I got completed, but hoping to get some more done maybe this weekend or something. School starts back up on Monday the 5th so I probably won't be around too much!

It's Been FOREVER!

Wow.. I haven't written in over 2 months! Well not much has really gone on in that period of time. We've been on Christmas break since the 19th and have to go back on the 5th... not look forward too it, I've really enjoyed this break, oh well! We took finals that last week and I passed all but one, which was Mr. Lamb's, my AP World History teacher. I studied and studied for that one but still was not able to pass, I was getting angry with myself until I figured out why I hadn't passed. He'd been asking us to go and get some book that cost $30 so we would be able to prepare for or AP test at the END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. Little did I know that he was going to give us the test from that book as our final! He said that he went around and gave every one copies of it, but the ones who failed didn't remember him doing this. The kids that had the book made a 100 on the test of course, because they'd been working on it ever since he told us about this book. I thought that this was very unfair, what do you think?! Now I have to go back and take a test on the very first day we go back to try to get a better grade, but none of the other classes have to do that, they just have to answer some questions that were on the board! How unfair! Well enough on that. Christmas this year was great, my grandparents came up and spent Christmas eve through Saturday with us. Everybody kept saying that it wasn't going to be a big Christmas this year, and they were all worried about it, I kept saying that it didn't matter as long as we were all together it would be perfect, and it was! We did receive gifts and they were all awesome. I got a new pink MP3 player that also plays videos, clothes and PJ's, makeup, a new belt that has little gems on it, so cute!, a stocking full of chocolate and other candy... yum!!!, and money, even without these gifts Christmas would have still been great! How were your holidays?

I haven't been up to too much in the scrappy world, but I got a LO done a few weeks ago and have a few pictures of some of the cards I made, other than that nothing much has gone on. I plan on scrapping New Year's eve with my mom and we are planning on going to a few crops through out January so hopefully I will get my scrappy mojo back. I was really looking forward to going on the JS scrappy getaway, but unfortuantly I won't be able to, maybe next time!

Well I need to go get caught up on the scrappy boards and blogs! See ya later!

Woohooo!!! Just got back from the new Micheal's that we went to... The real reason we went was to meet Tim!! OMGosh it was amazing!!!! My mom and I got a pic taken together with him, was soo awseome! He has got the most amazing teeth ever and the prettiest smile!!! Anyways, it was totally cool.... oh yea and guess what... besides the pic I got his autograph on the back of a make and take we did!!! Of course I took pics of some of the stuff we did... I kinda got pushed out of the way, but it was a blast!!! I've never really known much about Tim and his products, but I will have to start using his stuff!!! My mom met a friend of a friend there, she was so sweet! They got a pic together as well, my grandma did a make and take all by herself, actually she was the first one to do the make and take, it actually surprised us! She bought some stuff, which we haven't figured out why yet, she won't ever use it, but she says maybe she will.... let's hope!

Got my Report Card today, did better than I had expected due to the fact that this school is harder than the one before. I had to step up and study more and try to do better, which I did!!

English II - Coach Mendoza - 90 (Was a 75 a few weeks ago, had to work on that! We've been ready alot of short stories...all I have to say is Edger Allen Poe can be a little weird, I did like The Masque of the Red Death though!)

Physics - Mrs. Davis - 87 (Didn't make an A due the work that I had in AP that didn't get good grades before I switched classes, but looking towards an A for 2nd 6 Weeks. We've been working on Newton's laws, so far so good.)

Le Francais I - Madame Van Hooser - 98 (Loving that class.... not much more to say about it!!)

Honors Geometry - Mrs. Schiemenz - 90 (Still kinda confusing at times, but getting it down!)

Web Mastering -Mr. Williams - 99 (Lots of Free Days!! Starting to work with Microsoft Office Front Page, very fun!!)

Art I - Mrs. Ing - 91 (Really starting to like this class now, after I did my painting and she actually liked it, it helped me alot! We are currently working on a Haunted House.... I showed my parents tonight and my mom said "That's cute!" That's not what I'm going for so I gotta make it a bit more scarier :P)

AP World History - Mr. Lamb - 84 (My lowest grade... my hardest class!! I'm starting to get a hang of it now, very interesting stuff we are learning and I love to hear his stories and lectures about history instead of reading it from that book, I seem to understand it better when he lectures it!)

Well that's all for the grades, no missing day or tardies so that's good!!

My grandparents are up for the weekend, brother's birthday on Sunday! Going to see Tim Holtz tomorrow in Ft. Worth at the new Micheal's... found out about it when I got home from school... so excited!!!!! Julie, my mom's BF, is coming on Monday, fair day for us Texans, and her daughter may come.... she wants to go to the fair though. :( Starting to drive alot more and am really enjoying it, getting better now... so I guess that's good!!! Looking for a job so I can get some money.. been looking at jobs for about an hour gave up when I couldn't find anything online for this little town! I did find one place that was hiring, Movie Gallery.... Thought I had to get 18+ to work there, but it says 16, so we are going to print out an application and get it in tomorrow or whenever. Haven't done much in the scrappy world lately, planning on it this weekend, maybe I can get my grandma to help some, she wants to scrap but she just won't do it... she buys things to scrap with them leaves them sitting... get this, she has a kit she gets each month that is very easy to make, first one she got she said she didn't like... my mom had to inform her that she has to choose what she wants or she gets what they wanna give her!! :P Love my nana to death though! Oh yea! This cat of ours is getting on my nerves.. she decides she wants to wake me up at 2:30 in the morning on a school day to play with my hair, so I set her on the floor, she comes back, throw her about 10 times on the floor (not hurting her), comes back everytime, set her in the living room... beats me back to my bed! So I start getting mad... I throw her to the living room (once again not hurting her) and she finally quits... or so I think..... 3:30 am - starts all over again! Ugh!!!!

I do have some pics of an altered item I made for a challenge on JS, but never got posted and my new scrappy area. They are loading to photobucket atm so I will get the posted after dinner... promise!

I finally got my room finished up today, drove Dad to auto parts store, bank and the dump so we could get all of these boxes thrown away (Don't mind this driving stuff and I'm getting better, can't wait for license then I don't have to ride the bus with all of the screaming and bossy little kids anymore!), got the computer set up (Don't have to use Dad's anymore), finished getting scrappy stuff set up, made an altered item and tried to make a shaker box... but gave up after a while. I've got a few pics and will share them in the next post!!

Well, we are finally settled!!! About time!!! My room is just about done, just need to get my desk in there and buy another shelf!! It's been quite a while since I've posted...poor blog!! :P Anyways, lots of stuff to tell.

How was the move?

Well to be honest, a pain in the butt!! But we are all happy to be back at "home"! We've gotten alot done in the past few weeks, but were able to take some time to relax and not think about unpacking and such as well. We found a few resturants that have become our favorite. Much different than Austin though, not much in this little 'ole town!!

How's School?

So far it's ok, much more challenging then Austin, as the teachers actually teach you instead of letting you do what you want, we are trying to adjust to this, much harder than before though. I'm taking a pre-college class, Geometry, not too bad, just get confused with some of the vocab and I'm taking a college level class, World History, the teacher speaks his mind, but is able to help us learn better this way because he gives us his opinion instead of just reading what other people say, I've gotten a better view on all of the things I am learning so far, having some trouble with note taking, I can take notes, but I don't seem to get enough information, he lets us use whatever notes we have written on our test, which makes it easier for some questions. My other classes are:

English 2, which I am working on getting the grade up in that class, once again having trouble with all of the vocab that is on the tests, but I'm doing good on all of the Essays and Reports, guess that's a good thing because it's a major part on the TAKs test coming up.

Physics, with Mrs. Davis, she is an awesome teacher!! Dropped out of Pre-AP Physics because it was too hard for me as I do not know Algebra 2. In my other school Chemistry was taken in 10th grade so that in 11th you would be in Algebra 2 and Physics at the same time so you would be learning everything you need to know around the same time, but not in this school. Luckily she is able to take the time to teach us this which is helpful because in Pre-AP Coach Hornback didn't have time. So far so good in that class.

French!!!! I totally love that class!!! Madame Van Hooser is another awesome teacher! I've learned to count to 100, learn which nouns are female and male, colors, how to ask your name, how you're doing, and how to say hello in 2 different ways, also the difference between a formal and informal greeting. We got to pick a French name the 2nd week of school, I picked Gisele because it was my moms French name when she took French in High School.

Web Mastering with Mr. Williams, he gives us a ton of free days.... who wouldnt love that teacher!!! Basically we learn how to well... master the web!! Right now we are working with HTML and other codes inbetween our free days.

Art..... Well I don't mind it but I detest the teacher!!! Mrs. Ing....... She always puts down your work and doesnt like you unless you are very artistic... umm HELLO NEWS FLASH!! This is Art 1 we are taking.... isnt this supposed to help us become artistic?!!! She told my table partner today that she hated her piece of work and thought it looked like shattered glass, she spent forever working on this project. She told me that I needed to add some more circles and "highways" to mine... meh oh well, not failing in her class atm and I'm doing the best I can....Although we do have to paint tomorrow, not sure how pretty that will be.

Well that's it with the classes, haven't made many friends yet, but I recognize alot of old friends I used to know, just to scared to go up and talk to them.... even saw my old B.F.F. but too much of a chicken to go talk to her!! I do have 2 classes with my brother which is kinda cool.

Scrapbooking?

I've gotten a few things done!! This weekend I took Sunday and did nothing but scrap! I haven't been feeling to good so I figure a day of that wouldn't hurt I took pics of a few of the things I did. I'll show them down futhur in the post.

Long Time, No Bloggin'!

Wow!! I just realized how long it has actually been since I've posted on here!!

Well let's see....

We are working on moving back to Springtown(ICK!), since we have a house there and the owner of the company my parents are currently working for is going to sell it. We've known this for a while now, but I still wasn't prepared! :P We've been busy packing up stuff, getting rid of junk we don't need that has just been sitting around collecting dust, and getting everything ready to go. We still have quite a few things to do, but we're getting there. Last weekend we went and cleaned out the house and it wasn't as bad as we expected. This weekend we are planning going back up there to work on a few more things!! Yippeee! Oh yea, Tax Free Weekend this weekend, gonna go clothes shopping with my mom on Sunday, maybe. Only good thing about the original plan going bad is that we don't have to wear uniforms at this new school. Plus, this new school is a better one than the one we went to last year, may actually be a challenge instead of me getting my work done in the first 20 minutes of class and having nothing else to do!! I will miss some of the teachers that I had and a few of my friends, and a few other places here in Austin, like our fave scrapbooking store, but other than that BUH-BYE Austin!!

I get so sidetracked, I had some other things to say, but I just can't think of them!!!

Gonna hold off on the challenges as you can see I didn't post one last week, or the week before, will probably wait until everything has settled down and we are back in school and done moving!

My First Blog Award(s)

Morning!!

Like I said in my last post I rec'd two blog awards form my mom and Nicky!!

I just recently met Nicky after visiting a Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers and joining a group on there!!

Of course I've known my mom all me life! :P And I just love scrapping with her!!

Ok, here it goes!!

So, time for me to PIF (pay it forward) the blog award. The rules are as follows:

This is going to be difficult for me to narrow it down to just 5 people but I will do my best. If I didn't choose you please don't be offended, I visit lots of blogs and enjoy looking at everyones work!!

My choices, in no particular order are:

1. Karen B (aka my mom)- Of course I had to choose her! I fought her for the longest time about scrapping, I never wanted to do it and would always mess with her about it. Finally one day I just gave in and I'd have to say that is one of the best choices I have made in a long time!! I enjoy our time together, we don't always have to be scrapping, it can be shopping or just spending time with each other. We have a blast when we start scrapping together and things usually get messy!! I love you so much mama!!!

2. Ruby - I met Ruby through the Adornit Teen Chix contest that was held a few months ago. After seeing her work she created with the free product I basically started stalking her blog! :P I just love Ruby's work, and the fact that she is another young scrapper is awesome!! Her work totally inspires me and she has so many great ideas!!!

3. Greta - I met Greta on JS and I fell in love with her!!! She is so beautiful and she amazes me!! Her work is awesome!! She's so free-spirited and ventures out and tries different things all the time!!!

4. Amy - I just love Amy!! I met her a while back on a different set of forums I am no longer a part of, and I think she is just too cute!! Her work is always beautiful and so inspiring!!!

5. Mare - I also met Mare on SBS and she has commented quite a few times on my blog about how she loves my work!! She is just so sweet!! Her work is beautiful as well and she also inspires me!!! I'm looking forward to getting to know her more and see more of her work in the future!!!

Well that sums that up for a bit, was very hard choosing only 5 people, but I did it!! Dunno if I will be back with more today or not, it's the 1st which is our busy time of the month... although it is actually not very busy today!!

Lots of Stuff...

Well, I was awarded a blog award from two people the other day, Nikki and my mom!!! I was so happy!! I'll do a next post about that in a lil bit! Today I woke up earlier so I could go to the DPS to get another permit as I've lost mine and my School ID as well... luckily I am not going to that school anymore..oh yea! We are moving next to my grandparents in Red Oak/Ferris and we are starting school in Ferris on August 25th! I am so happy!! Can't wait to start it, hopefully it will be much better than the school we were in and a plus, my mom and her best friend went there and her daughter will be starting 9th grade this year and me and my brother will be in 10th! Yay to not being a fishy!! hehe!

Well, when we went to the DPS it had a school bus full of kids and the parking lot was full... so we said forget that for today, we'll take another shot at it tomorrow. We went to Archivers and Micheals and omgosh Micheals has some newer stuff..it is too cute!! We got the cutest flowers, I'll have to show later, mom is taking a class atm she went back to "school" tonight! Anyways, I found a cute little kit at Archivers that I just fell in love with. When I got home I started creating!!

Challenge #3! Color My World!

Good Afternoon!!

Well, I've been thinking about my next challenge for a few hours. I wanted it to be a bit easier as I know alot of people are busy this time of the year, so with that said... here is the next challenge!

These challenge's will start Saturday and all entry's must be completed by 11:59 P.M. CST on Friday, so if you are not CST make sure you don't get confused (trust me it happens to me alot!!!) I will choose a winner Saturday morning and I will need that person to e-mail their information. Does that seem easy enough?

Challenge Number 3:

COLOR MY WORLD!

So here it is, I am going to show you two different scraps of paper I had left over and I want you to use atleast 1 of the colors on there and atleast 1 flower.(once again, you may choose what you want to do, ATC's,a card, Layout, other altered items... etc., etc.)

Sound easy?! I hope, it was very easy and I was able to create an example for each color scheme (I guess that's the right word?)

Color Scheme #1: RED,YELLOW,PINK,ORANGE

Ok, the colors in this choice are RED YELLOW PINK AND ORANGE. You will see some black and white which can be used on your project.

Well, I see that Challenge #2 didn't have a very good turn out, which is ok!! I know alot of people are busy this time of the year so maybe I should take a break with the challenges and bring them back later? I am still going to have another challenge and it will be in my next post, but lemme know if I should hold off on the challenges for a bit, or if I should keep doing them!!

I need to get another gift created for Ms. Ashley over at Just Scrappin for the Surprise a Friend swap... I have an idea for her so we'll see how that turns out, I'm wanting to get a few more gifts for people, but dunno if I will have time in this busy schedule. (haha yea right!) I'm thinking I wanna send Greta and Cristal something as well, but just depends on what I get done!!

Surprise a Friend!

I was able to accomplish something today at work, and this is probably all I am going to get done today!!

This was for the Surprise a Friend Swap and is for a dear friend Cherrie, I just love her work and think she is soo talented! I've known Cherrie for a few months now as I met her on KRANKIES Board (haha Krankie :P)and I know how much she loves cherry's so I decided to make her this with some of the Berry Sweet Collection from K&Company, I've always loved this collection and wish Archiver's wouldn't have gotten rid of it :(

Anyways, here it is!

I just fell in love with it, will have to make one similar for myself and they may even be good for gifts!! Very easy to make!!

Ok, here is what I just created for challenge #2, I made this for my parents!

See... You can make cards without using PP!! I inked the 1st and 2nd layers under the sticker on the card using Ruby's inking Technique!

I dunno about you, but I just love how this card turned out!!

Challenge #2

Well, we made it to week 2 of my challenges, hopefully the ones who joined in on this challenge, had fun and enjoyed making their items! These challenge's will start Saturday and all entry's must be completed by 11:59 P.M. CST on Friday, so if you are not CST make sure you don't get confused (trust me it happens to me alot!!!) I will choose a winner Saturday morning and I will need that person to e-mail their information. Does that seem easy enough?

I want you to create a project(once again, you may choose what you want to do, ATC's,a card, Layout, other altered items... etc., etc.) using no patterend paper at all! You may ink you papers, paint them, you get it right? If you get stuck on this, I found a neat little idea on Ruby's blog. It works well and that is what I used on the card I am going to post below. This card isn't all that new, and I will get a new one created, but I wanted to show an example of my challenge!

So here it is, it has been posted on here before, but like I said, I just wanted to show an example!

What I was up to today!

As I said this morning, I may or may not get something done... well I did get something done!!! Wanna see? Okies, I'll show!!

Well I had this mini album from a while back when I was entering for the Adornit Contest (TeenChix)and I had never completed it... soo now I am going to complete it and try to sell it, today I got 7 pages of it done, and still trying to figure out what to do with the other 13 pages :P

2 New Cards

Okies, Here are two new cards I just created tonight for two different challenges on Just Scrappin. One of them was for the Christmas in July challenge, which is being hosted by my mom... and which I am also late for (sorry mom!), and the other is her Ad challenge which is due by 12:00 am tonight!! and is also hosted by my mom!! I made these while watching Mean Girls!! I just love that movie!!

Well here they are:

The first one I just adore!! It is for the ad challenge! I chose to use the colors of the ad for my inspiration. (Sorry, not the best pic, lighting is kinda bad tonight)

And the second is for Christmas in July! I'm not all that happy with it, but I still like it!

I think I am done scrapping tonight, but not 100% sure yet! We'll see!

My Example of Challenge #1

Ok, I made a card that represented my challenge! Here it is:

I used:

1 Flower
1 Gem (On the Flower)
1 Ribbon (Along the bottom of card)
The Inking Technique around the edges
And 1 PP
I printed out the Happy Birthday.

So all together I used 4 of the items on the list + added some of my own creativeness to this challenge!

Well, getting off work in 16 minutes so I prolly won't do anything else scrappy related today, but I'm thinking tomorrow since it's me and my mom's day off that I'll do some scrapping with her, if she's up to it!!

Once again at work it is boring!! With a CAPITAL B :P Anyways, I decided to pull out my scrappy stuff and start working on an inspiration/quote/idea book type thingy! Well I found this pack of stuff I had and I have no clue where it came from...but I didn't like the colors that much for my idea so I changed them around and covered up the front of the book that came with it! I just love these bright and fun colors!! Well here are the pics I have so far.. kinda stuck at the moment!!

Challenge #1

Ok, so I am going to try something new. I'm going to post a challenge on a weekly basis. Sometimes there might be a sketch involved sometimes not. I have a bunch of stuff I have gone through that I will never use and the winner, who's name will be drawn from a hat, will get a nice little RAK from me. So who's up for the challenge!!! These challenge's will start Saturday and all entry's must be completed by 11:59 P.M. CST on Friday, so if you are not CST make sure you don't get confused (trust me it happens to me alot!!!) New Lo

Well, today at work I decided to make a LO since no one was coming in the office!!! OMG It was so boring!! :P Anyways, I used the Honeydew Collection by I dunno who at the moment, and I just love the colors! Well wanna see it?! Do you?! Ok, I'll show ya:P This is prolly one of the LO's I just fell in love with right away!

So whatcha think? Like it? Don't like it? Have any ideas to improve it? Just lemme' know!

Not sure if I will get anything scrappy done tonight, gonna play WoW for a bit and eat some dinner!

Hopefully I'll get some of the challenges over at Just Scrappin done this weekend!! You should really go and check it out if you haven't already! There are some very nice ladies there and all sorts of artistic (SP?) skills going on over there!

Road Trip

Well, I didn't get any scrapping done this weekend, but I had much more fun anyways!! We got up Sunday morning and my dad decided we were going on a road trip... the rest of us had no idea where.... but we were going!!

We had a blast, I don't remember all of the places we went, but a few were Johnson City to see the Pederales River (so pretty!!) and let Daisy go swimming, we thought she hated water, but must have just been the ocean she hated....she had a blast, LBJ State park, next was Luckenbach (omg that place is soo small it's not even funny!!), Fredricksberg, we spent the night there nad had some good German food, I thought I wasn't a fan of German food as I've had it before and didn't care too much for it, but I took a bite of everyone elses (cause I got Chicken Fried Steak...cause I was to "chicken" to get something else) and man oh man was it good!!!! I like the Texasnitzhel the best!! Mmm! We swam after we ate and then went to get appitizers at the Mexican food place next to the hotel, it was called Mamacitas and they're food was great too!! The next morning we got up and went a scenic way and saw tons of deer!! It was awesome, we went to Banderas, the cowboy town of Texas and we didn't see why it was the Cowboy town of Texas at all!! Just looked like another little Texas town. After that we went to the Guadalupe River and all of us went swimming this time, it was soo fun!! Thanks Buddy for the great idea you had!!!

We got back around 5 yesterday and we were all tired!! I think all of us made it to bed around 10 last night!!

I may or may not get any scrapping done today, as I said in another post we started WOW up again, and my brother and I are enjoying doing quests and other stuff together!!

HAHA I almost forgot to post pics of the trip!! Ditzy moment! :P Well I can't post all of them, cause there are 50!

What's New?

Well, it's been a few days since I've posted.... hmm lemme think... what's new?!

Umm We went to Schlitterbahn last Monday... it was a blast! I spent most of my time at the kiddie pool with a friends son because I decided after I got lost on a 45 minute ride that had a fork in it and I went one way and my brother went the other way I was going to try to stay with the rest of the family or atleast someone I knew!!

Tuesday my brother and I started training to work for my parents as it is hard to find someone to work for them.... All they wanna do is party and not come to work.... hate to say I've been fired 2 times already :P We were late the first day by quite a few hours and the second day I was late again!! They were just messing with me and now I get up a bit earlier so I have more time to get ready... only takes me an hour :P

Hmm think that's all that really happened this week.

We did nada for 4th of July. Mom and I played World of Warcraft (WOW) and brother and dad watched some T.V.

Oh, any of you play online video games??? We started playing Age of Conan (AOC) but they have too many problems and we got tired of it so we turned on WOW....It's been forever since we've played, but I'm starting to get used to it again so much more to learn!

Anyways, I'm hoping to get something scrappy done this weekend maybe... just gotta get off work before anything is decided... that sounds so cool..."I just gotta get off work first!" :P

So... Have you ever done any boardbooks? I use the BoBunny books, but I was able to see that there are so much more by other manufactuers (I soo spelled that wrong!) when we went to the Scrapbook Convention in Arlington a few last month... I think!

All About the Stars

Hola!! :P

We just got finished watching The Bucket List.... have you seen it? Omg it's amazing!! I just loved it, sad at the end though :(

Finished up another challenge for the Summertime Crop that is being hosted by Cristal called "It's all about the stars" It's a card challenge and you have to use stars somewhere on your card... I went through all of my papers and can you believe I only had a whopping 2 pattern papers that had stars on them???? Well I really like how this turned out!! And by going through my mom's stash I was able to dig up some more stars!! Anyways, here it is!

Hopefully tonight after we watch another movie I'll be able to get some more challenges done, but not promising anything!

Calling it a Night!

Well, calling it a night now!! Getting late and we're tired! I had fun doing some of the challenges and taking goofy pics!! I'm gonna be sooo behind tomorrow, out of 10 challenges I have a whooping 4 done, and new ones will come up tomorrow...or I should say today as it's 12:12 am! Time fly's when you're having fun, eh? :P

Anyways, here's the last layout I created "Please Don't Stop The Music" as I CANNOT live without music! The challenge was called Product Appreciation and is being hosted by Ashley! It def gets you thinking, you can't use any live things.... hince the name. So I chose to take a pic of my radio and almost oops'd when I was about to put a pic of my singing on the LO!

That's my 2nd attempt at Elsie's free-spirited style!!

I'll show the first one now I guess, this was also for a challenge a while back for a diff site I am no longer a part of. I did it on my man, Kenny Chesney! (I wish he was my man :P Ain't he HAWT?)

So what do you think of it? I know it's not Elsie, but it is still kinda funky and fun?!

Tea Baggin'

Yup, I said TEA BAGGIN' :P Funny story behind that, on Just Scrappin' we had a challenge to do Teabag Folding on a card for the Summertime Crop that is being hosted by our lovely Aymee! Anyways, my mom and I were walking through the store and we were talking about the challenges we have to work on.I blurted out, and not very quietly, that I still had some tea baggin' to do and just didn't know if I could figure out how to do it! My mom just bursted out laughing at me and she says the best part about it was the look on my face after I had realized what I said. ( yes, I'm slow at times!) Here's the card I tried to attempt to make... not the best and I can promise you I will prolly never make another one as it was a PITA!! :P

Well... it's finally the weekend... woohoo!! Can't wait til Monday now though.... we're going to Slchitterbahn (so misspelled that) with one of my mom's friends and her family, we haven't seen her in FOREVER!!

I got one thing done last night for the Summertime Crop it was Cherrie's "In Good Company" Challenge, I had a few slogans to choose from and found one that totally fit me and I'm not the happiest with it, because I oops'd quite a few times.... anyways, here it is!

Isn't that just the best slogan ever!

Well, I need to get off of here so I can get some stuff scrapped so I won't be behind!!

TGIF!

TGIF, Right?!!! This week went by soo slow it's not even funny!! So today we got up and went to get some applications so I could start working (need money for scrappy stuff :P and clothes of course!!) and the 2 places we went to told us they had no applications... Oh c'mon now... yea right!! They just didn't like me, that's it :P (I could really care less to be honest :P). After that excitment my mom and I went to the mall and I found my new fave store Torrid, it's for bigger sized girls, but they have the cutest clothes, and guess what? I can wear some of the clothes they have!! I'm a size 0 if you take me to that store! Woohoo!! :P I found the cutest top there and afterwards we went into the Sketchers store so my mom could get her a new pair of flip flops, they are the cutest, then went into JCPenny's, and boy oh boy did I get into trouble there!! They had some great sells and some of the cutest clothes!! I'm sure you're wanting to see what I got right? And if not I wanna show ya anyways!!!

So far we have a total of 8 challenges and it's only the first day... still have 3 more days left!!

Well looks like I'm somewhat on a roll here!! 2 things done in one night.. that's good for me! This is the 2nd LO I've made since the MARCH DRAMA! And lemme tell ya it's quite fun now that I have my MOJO back!!

Scrappy Mojo!!

Woohoo!! I think I've somewhat gotten my scrappy mojo back!! I just finished another card tonight for the card challenge on Just Scrappin! Oh, and our Summertime Crop starts tomorrow!! Not too late to come and join in on the fun!

Well, it's been FOREVER since I started my blog, and I failed to post until now, so here's to hoping that I will be able to keep up with it! My plans are to come here every few days, or every day if i can, and start showin' some of my work. I just recently got involved with another set of scrappy forums and I've having a harder time getting used to it since the last one I was involved with had TOO much DRAMA!! The ladies that are on this forum are the sweetest so I wanted to share it with you!! Here it is: Just Scrappin'
